Quick Start Guide

Follow the steps below to get started. For complete instructions, please refer to the user manual.

1. Prepare

Wash and dry your hands thoroughly. Open the bottom of the milk storage bag so it stands upright, then attach it to your Lola&Lykke Smart Electric Breast Pump using the adapter provided.

2. Pump

Begin pumping and monitor the milk level throughout the session. Do not fill the bag beyond the 150 ml mark.

Tip: If you plan to feed directly from the storage bag, you can skip to Step 6.

3. Seal & Label

Carefully remove excess air, securely tighten the cap and write the expression date on the label before storing.

4. Store

Store bags upright in the refrigerator or lay them flat in the freezer to save space and allow faster freezing and thawing.

5. Thaw

Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or under warm running water (max. 37°C). Gently swirl the milk before feeding. Never microwave, boil or refreeze thawed breast milk.

6. Feed

Attach a Lola&Lykke NaturalFlow teat using the adapter to feed directly from the storage bag. Never leave your baby unattended during feeding.

Good to Know

The seams of the storage bags are heat-sealed and may not open fully on their own. Before attaching the bag to the pump, gently open the bottom so the bag stands upright and reaches its full capacity.

How to Open the Milk Storage Bags

Important safety information

Breast milk storage bags are single-use products and should not be reused.
Always wash and dry your hands before handling the storage bag.
Avoid touching the inside of the bag to help maintain hygiene.
Do not fill the bag beyond the 150 ml mark, as breast milk expands when frozen.
Do not thaw or warm breast milk in a microwave or boiling water, as this may damage valuable nutrients and create hot spots that could burn your baby.
Thawed breast milk can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours but should not be refrozen.

As the milk storage bags are pre-sterilised, they are single-use products and will need to be disposed of after first use.

To pump straight into the bag, attach the adapter to the milk bag and then attach this to the breast pump.

When you'rere pumping, make sure you don't overfill the bag as you will need to allow space for expansion when you freeze the breast milk.

For fast freezing and thawing, lay the bag flat. Remember to label and date the bag for future reference!

To feed your baby directly from the milk bag, simply attach the bottle teat to it with the adapter. Never leave your baby unattended with a feeding bag.

To preserve the components of the breast milk, thaw in the refrigerator overnight or by holding the bag under running warm water (max. 37 °). Gently shake the bag to blend any fat that has separated. Thawed breast milk is safe in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

Do not thaw frozen breastmilk in a microwave oven or in a pan of boiling water (danger of burning).

The seams of the milk bags are heat-sealed. This means that they don't always automatically open up to allow for maximum capacity to be pumped into the bag.

Please open the bottom carefully before use. As a hint, it’s easier to open the bags completely by squeezing when they already have some milk inside.
