After 3,000 judging hours, more than 1,100 products sent out to families and endless testing with babies, toddlers and parents, we are excited to reveal that Lola&Lykke has won 4 more prizes at the prestigious MadeForMums Awards 2022! This year we bring home another Gold Award as the best breast pump of the year, and 3 more amazing awards in multiple categories, including the prestigious Editor´s Choice Award for our brand new Breastfeeding Starter Kit.
This is fantastic recognition for our hard work to offer new and expecting parents holistic support from start to finish. We started Lola&Lykke as two mums who simply wanted to change motherhood for the better. Now, just 3 years later, it's amazing to see how far we've come as a small female-led brand!

Lola&Lykke Breastfeeding Starter Kit: Editor's choice
Why it’s an Editor’s Choice: The Lola & Lykke Smart Electric Breast Pump has been a huge hit with the judges and home testers over the last couple of years, scoring 2 gold award wins in the electric breast pump category, so it’s no surprises that this kit – which puts the pump front and centre – caught the attention this year. “A well-thought out set that contains the basics and more to get you going on your breastfeeding journey. It feels well-made, durable and is all very stylish,” said Editorial Judge and MFM contributing writer Gabrielle.
In the words of parent tester Demi, who tested this with their 1 month old: “They really have thought of everything a breastfeeding mum would need, including additions that you would normally purchase separately, such as the cooler bag for the breast pump. The quality is amazing, from the packaging it comes in to the individual products inside the box.”
Lola&Lykke Smart Electric Breast Pump: Gold
Why it’s a winner: “Well-made and cleverly designed,” with the bonus of being “stylish looking”, this pump was applauded by our testers for its straightforward assembly (there are only 5 parts) and efficient but comfortable suction. They were also impressed by how quickly the battery on the portable pump charges via USB and how long the charge lasts (up to 2 hours). But most of all, our testers loved that it’s wire and tube-free – “I could hold this while I walked around, instead of being tethered to a wall socket or attached by a tube to a larger pump.”
In the words of parent tester Katie, who tested this with their 1 month old: “I wish I had this pump with my first baby as it’s powerful with great levels of suction, the silicone flange fits the breast nicely, and does a fantastic job without being too loud. In just a few minutes, I was able to express a decent amount of milk.”
Lola&Lykke Core Relief Pregnancy Support Band: Bronze
Why it’s a winner: This Support Band is ergonomically designed to lift the weight of a growing baby bump and therefore ease pressure on expectant mums’ back, pelvis and bladder. Our testers noticed how much easier life became when they wore it. Tester Charlotte commented, “in previous pregnancies I’ve found the school drop off difficult in the latter stages of pregnancy. I’m confident it will help make this easier for me!” Being the most expensive product in the category, it does require an investment, but for those struggling with hip and lower back pain, it could be worth splashing out.
In the words of tester Chloe, who is pregnant: “The product was very simple and intuitive to fit and to reposition as needed. I also liked that there was an additional support band which made adjustment easy as the first layer was already fastened and secured.”
Lola&Lykke Core Restore Postpartum Support Band: Bronze
Why it’s a winner: The days and weeks after giving birth can leave your body feeling vulnerable. Our new-parent testers loved how this stretchy dual-compression band offered them additional support and comfort. “This gave me so much support around my torso,” said one. “It’s great quality and would be so helpful for any mum in the first few weeks after having a baby.” The band can be worn after both vaginal and C-section births.
In the words of new-parent tester Sophie: “I’ve been wearing this band daily while out and about. It’s not cheap but it feels great and sits perfectly and smoothly around my tummy area underneath my clothes. The photo instructions are also easy to follow, which is a big plus.”
